- Aulzadin is a
multi-purpose medicine for stomach disorders. It contains Famotidine,
a highly effective and long-acting
histamine
H2-receptor
antagonist which effectively reduces gastric secretion. In treatment
of ulcers, Aulzadin acts as an antiulcerant by reducing the acid
and pepsin secretion.

1)
Effective relief of gastroesophageal reflux disease (heartburn):
- 1
tablet to be taken twice daily
2)
Benign Gastric Ulcer:
- 2
tablets to be taken daily at night
- Treatment
should be given for 4-8 weeks
- Duration
of treatment may be shortened if endoscopy reveals that the ulcer
has healed
3)
Duodenal Ulcer:

tablets to be taken daily at night
- Treatment
should be given for 4-8 weeks
- Duration
of treatment may be shortened if endoscopy reveals that the
ulcer has healed. In most cases,
healing occurs after
4 weeks of treatment.

to be taken daily at night
- To prevent
recurrence of duodenal ulceration

4) For stomach-ache, hyperacidity, indigestion, heartburn and
prevention of symptoms associated with food and beverages:

- To
be taken 30 minutes before eating for prevention of
symptoms associated with
food and beverages
- To
be taken 1 hour before dinner to prevent symptoms expected
to interfere with sleep

- Aulzadin is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive
to any ingredients of this product
- Aulzadin is
safe and reliable if ‘Dosage
and Administration’ is observed. Do not exceed the stated
dose.
| Gastric Neoplasm: |
- Gastric malignancy should be excluded prior to initiation of
therapy of peptic ulcer with Aulzadin
|
| Renal Dysfunction: |
- A reduction in daily dosage should be considered if creatinine
clearance falls below 10ml/min
|
| Use in pregnancy: |
- Not recommended for use in pregnancy
|
| Nursing Mothers: |
- Famotidine is detectable in human milk. Nursing mothers should
either stop using this drug or stop nursing.
|
| Use in children: |
- Safety and effectiveness of use in children has not been established
|
| Use in the elderly: |
- No dosage adjustment is required based on age alone
|
- Keep this
drug out of the reach of children
